Our journey began with a realization—traditional microfinance systems were outdated, inefficient, and inaccessible to the very people they aimed to serve. Having worked closely with financial institutions, we saw firsthand the limitations of legacy on-premises systems: high costs, limited scalability, and the inability to reach underserved communities effectively.

Having traveled across the countryside in the developing world we have seen the challenges small business owners are struggling with to secure finding and the institutions themselves limited in their ability to serve with paper-based documentation, disjointed systems, and the inability to process applications quickly. It became clear that these financial institutions needed a modern, scalable, and cost-effective solution and the answer was in the cloud. This laid the foundation to a cloud-first approach and is the guiding light behind asi technologies.
